Fort Eriazal

“Ugh, where am I?” Sakonori thought as she woke up on a bed, “oh you're awake, we found you unconscious in front of the gate, oh and do you mind telling me your name?” a nurse said while giving her breakfast. “Oh, thanks, my name is Sakonori Nakagawa.” She thanked her as she ate breakfast.

“I should check up on my friends.” she thought and when she reached for her phone, she found it broken, completely, “I cannot tell if I should be genuinely pissed off, or sad.” she mumbled to herself, before taking a bite of pudding. Her face lit up instantly. “This is pretty good.” She said to the nurse, “Oh thank you, you're free to stay as much as you want, luckily for you, this fort is mostly filled with soldiers.” the nurse said.

Sakonori got up, stretched a little, then walked out while waving at the nurse. “Oh right it's spring.” Sakonori said, “That means it's basically allergy season.” While she's walking around the busy fort. She heard a bunch of whispering from a group of people, so being the girl she is, she walked up and asked what's going on. “Oh, you must be a foreigner, according to the news and the scouts, there could be a war in this capital in the next 4 years.” a man in a heavily armoured outfit said, “oh, alright.” She thanked him as she walked away.

“Man, what day is it?” She thought, and she went into a merchandise store and looked at a calendar, “3rd of March…” She read. “Wait a minute, if that flight to get here was on the 28th..That means I've been knocked out for..5-6 days…” she calculated, “Wait, that's almost a week..” “I've been unconscious for a week?!” She panicked. “Actually, eh, I'll be fine.” She told herself, and she decided to go on a walk outside the fort, since her phone broke, and the nurse offered her a free room to herself in the living quarters of the fort.

While she's walking, she ran into a girl who appeared to be badly injured, “What the hell do you want?” The girl scolded, “What? No you ran into me nut head! And are you okay? Need me to get you to that fort?” She scolded while asking her, The girl instantly shook her head and started running away. “Weirdo.” Sakonori mumbled. “Man, is she a void hunter or something? She looks really tough, like red hair with some white, red tailcoat, heavily armoured on the shoulders some insignia on her chest, hopefully she's not a foe.. wait..” She thought.

“Where the hell is my bat!” She screamed, she started searching for it everywhere, forest, river, dumpster, Bridge, until she found it tangled up on a large tree. “Man, I don't want to ruin this hoodie, but Satoya did pay for that and I know he's going to be mad if I lose it on a tree, so whatever.” She said while she's taking off her hoodie, she started to climb up the tree, then leapt down after getting her bat back. She was slightly covered in scratches, but she shrugged it off before her stomach growled, “Man, I'm hungry, I should head back.”

After 30 minutes of walking, she's back at the fort, and goes back to the room the nurse gave her, “ugh I'm tired, but considering I've “slept” for a week, I'm still tired.” She complained. “Bleh, what's all this noise about.” She mumbled, so she walked out, and found a crowd of people whispering.

“You know what's going on?” She asked a lady in archer attire, “Shhh, an G.A.A. Officer is here, be quiet, if we stay quiet they’ll leave eventually.” The lady said, “Oh, okay?” Sakonori said, and she started walking up the steps that lead to the top of the gate that's been closed. The crowd of people started pointing at her climbing up, “oh no, we are so doomed.” People started whispering.

“The hell do you guys want?” She demanded as she went up, and looked down on the G.A.A. Officer with roughly 20 men holding rifles and shields.

“This fort will now be on the property of G.A.A., so I order the people of this fort to leave immediately, so things won't get ugly!” The Officer ordered, while a soldier was pointing a rifle at her.

“And what if we don't leave?” She replied, “I will order my men to fire this cannon that was tested 56 times and was able to obliterate a whole town in one shot.” The Officer threatened as he was pointing at the cannon.

“Go ahead, do it.” She said arrogantly, “Fine, are you sure?” The Officer asked. “Yes, we ain't scared of you!” she said further, “Are you really sure? I am going to send them the code to fire.” He warned. “Do it!” Sakonori demanded, “I'm literally 3 inches away from sending the code!” The Officer warned again.

“Stop stalling you coward!” She mocked, The officer turned to a soldier next to him with anger, “This girl is getting on my nerves, I'm about to send this damn code, and once I do, you all will die!” He yelled as he turned back at her. “Do it! We ain't afraid of you!” She yelled back at the officer. The Officer got visibly aggravated, then put his fingers below his earlobe that had a sort of communication chip attached, “East! Permission to fire the cannon at fort Eriazal?” The Officer asked.

“Absolutely not! You fool, if you do, we are all gonna get punished by South!” A man scolded through the communication, “Damn it!” The Officer screamed out, then angrily walked away while the soldiers turned around and retreated alongside the officer.

“Hahaha! Coward, didn't shoot because you didn't want to start a battle?!” Sakonori laughed, then calmed down and started casually walking back to her room. The crowd of people who were silent a moment ago, slowly roared in celebration.
