The Sanguine Queen follows a conflict brewing between multiple kingdoms on the continent of Surren. The story is told through multiple points of view from differing sides to expose the manipulations going on. The kingdom of Draeton attempts to assassinate the Sacroatian queen, Emeria, which leads to war. In the midst of this, a young dragon breeder named Vella gets swept up in the conflict by accident. Vella befriends allies and goes on a quest to save her home and the kingdoms around her. Throughout the adventure, Vella and her allies are forced to face some very big lies about their kingdoms while they struggle to decide who they can trust.
