Synopsis

An orphaned cook connected to a terrible curse, an immortal pirate struggling to reform, and a future Lady getting married for all the wrong reasons.     Kaleon Yelran has a past he's trying to forget, and his future isn't looking too bright either. He's been indebted to the governing family of his island home, led by the Lord since he was a child. Kaleon thought things were going well, but the Lord, who has always harbored a grudge against him, wants him gone by the start of the new year. This gives Kaleon just enough time to see his daughter, Rynnelle, Kaleons childhood sweetheart, get married to his childhood friend.  If that hadn't been tough enough, things take a turn when the infamous pirate, Silverhand, makes his way to their island. Dredging up all of Kaleon's family secrets, which includes ties to a crew of cursed pirates turned into living shadows. These pirates, desperate to break their curse and regain their humanity, are willing to do whatever it takes to see it done. In a desperate attempt to save her people, Rynnelle tricks the pirates into believing she can break their curse. Now Kaleon's in a race against time to rescue the love of his life before the pirates realize it's him they really want, and he'll need Silverhand's help.     This fantasy story, the first draft of a passion project I've been working on for a while now, is a unique blend of elements from various series, such as Pirates of the Caribbean and One Piece, that have inspired me. It's the first in an ongoing series of novels that promises to take you on an epic adventure featuring magic, monsters, flying airships, and, most importantly, pirates. Join me on this writing journey and prepare to be captivated by a story, unlike anything you've read before.     I usually post in bursts, writing several chapters of various lengths in three to four weeks. Please forgive grammatical or editing mistakes; I'll try to get them in the next draft. Right now, I'm focusing on telling an entertaining story that people will love.
