Synopsis
In the wake of Angrboa's death, her youngest son, Fróði Jötunbróður, embarks on a perilous journey through the nine realms to deliver the somber news to his monstrous siblings. As he traverses the treacherous landscapes of these realms—each inhabited by its own unique challenges and formidable creatures—Fróði must confront fierce monsters, relentless undead servants, and even the fickle whims of the gods themselves. With each encounter, he grapples with the weight of his lineage and the legacy of his mother, questioning how much of his identity will endure amid such chaos and turmoil. Struggling with the profound depths of grief, Fróði begins to experience vivid dreams that connect him to an ancient being whose remains still exert a haunting influence over the realms. These dreams blur the lines between reality and the echoes of the past, compelling Fróði to confront his own nature and the monstrous legacy that flows in his veins. Through this journey, he must navigate his inner turmoil, fearing that the deeper he delves into these dreams, the more he risks losing sight of who he once was.
