Synopsis
In a bustling city where magic, swords, and technology intertwine, Kivi is a skilled thief who uses her wit and ancient runes to pull off impossible heists. She is known all over the slums for her daring escapades. Her latest heist shouldn´t have been anything special, just some artifact, a compass, the boss of the local underground commissioned her to obtain.
But the plan derails, and Kivi barely escapes with the compass through an unstable portal. She is hurled into a sprawling, untamed wilderness—uncharted and brimming with creatures and magic she has never seen before. Cut off from her team, her plans, and the world she knows, Kivi will have to use her wits and runes to survive.
Escape is only the beginning. The compass seems to be no ordinary treasure. Kivi has no idea what it is for or where it points toward, but every faction in the kingdom and beyond seems to want it for themselves, from noble mages to the thieves-guild. And they are willing to hunt Kivi to the ends of the earth to obtain it.
She will need to decide whether she is willing to finish her job or whether she should keep the compass for herself. Try to decipher what all the fuss is about and claim the possible benefits.
What to expect:
-Rune based magic
-Survival
-Mana Cultivation with clear progression stages
-Weak to strong
-Some light Litrpg elements later on.
-Exploring and dungeon exploring.
-Morally grey characters
-A complex world divided between multiple factions.
-About 3000 words long chapters. Some a bit shorter, some longer.
I have chosen to write the novel in first person present tense like they do in "The Hunger Games". It may seem a bit strange if you have never seen something similar before, but I like this type of narrator because of the suspense and subjectivity it brings. Though I may decide to change it and rewrite the first chapters later on if it doesn´t convinces me.
