[HIATUS NOTE - I'll update this story if I find the time but I am focused on the main chapters for The Rise of Chaos: Genesis series first and foremost.] Take the events of The Rise of Chaos: Genesis and rewind the time fourteen years in the past. Vanixian Academy for Divisional Officers is the premiere preparatory school in the city of Axio. In a world threatened by monsters and demons; rising through the ranks of the Divisional Army could give a family political leverage and protection. Some noble families in the city have to scheme for their children to be admitted, but for the House of Vanixi, admittance is a requirement. However, for the young Airis Vanixi who would rather do anything than study at school—she is enrolled against her wishes. The Academy story was initially just a little project to give Airis and Hailey some established backstory while I was working on the main chapters, but I edited it down to something publishable and put it on the Kindle Vella site. If there is enough interest or I find the inspiration I’ll add some more chapters. This series is not intended to be written in a LitRPG style like the main series, as Airis hasn't received the rune that makes those interactions possible.
