Like much of the world, the people of Maine awoke one morning to a jagged line of light cutting across the sky. At first nothing happens, the visual phenomenon stumping scientists and spawning speculative theories across the world. Then people start to disappear, vanishing in their sleep. James and his friends make a pact that night: Wherever they end up when they close their eyes, they will find each other again. Follow James as he joins with others from earth as they endeavor not only to survive the wilderness of a new world, but to understand the motives of the magic that brought them here.
