The unfathomable aspect of the psyche, one that defines us as sapient and sentient beings. One that gave birth to philosophers and teachers, one that gave birth to emotions such as hatred and love. The aspect so heavily ingrained into our souls, that once both are brought together, they become inseparable.
The inseparability of emotions and reason from the soul is one of the basic properties of the psyche. In the spiritual substance, the memories and basic capabilities of the mind, remain forever. That doesn't mean, that they're infallible or unforgettable. Our external thinking processes, embedded in reality by means of a bodily system, are pretty much malleable, they can be kept locked or altered, but the immaculate core of our being stays defined by the experiences of our psyche.
We can speak about another level of subconsciousness that defines our existence, we as we. The perfect history and tools of the mind, acting in a dormant state.
There were cases where memories were erased, altered, reversed in time, where the large portion of the physical psyche medium was destroyed, where the unlucky subject was afflicted by insanity, desynchronized and synchronized again, where his entire personality had been shifted.
Yet, even after all that, it was possible to recover the original person. Yet, in important situations, an invisible fraction of that person's original psyche was the one making the choice, a choice that could turn entire kingdoms into ruin, or save countless lives. The choice of the original self.
Still, it all depends on strength of mind alteration, willpower, and alertness of a person. Both terms are required to deal with the external loss of self. Alertness defines our ability to perceive threats and analyze the situation. It's necessary for the original self to realize its altered external state and to counter-act. Known stimuli or extreme conditions can help to fuel the alertness, or degrade it. Once the subject realizes its altered state, the will-power comes into play, it's our ability to counter-act psyche alterations and exercise our own free will.
We, humans, often experience an altered state of our original state due to emotions, which can skew our perception of reality, make us act irrationally. Emotions are a different kind of order and tend to lean toward chaos. This is why, emotional sorcery is a very powerful tool, capable of synchronizing reality with our state of psyche.
Natural-born emotion-based enhancers are capable of intuitively controlling the aspects and arcane, but their emotions are often what influence the effect. A raging berserker can cleave through enemies with increased strength and not collapse under numerous wounds. A passionate pyromancer might rise pillars of flame capable of burning entire nations, all while laughing. A cryomancer with restricted emotions might reduce the temperature of its surroundings to absolute zero.

On the other hand, the same effects can be achieved by the mind, our order-leaning counterpart. These effects often require a lot of discipline, arcane power, and learning, compared to emotional casting. However, the effect is easier to control and has a more predictable outcome.
It's your psyche's nature and physicality of your bodily system that defines your capability to control the aspects and arcane. Everyone's path is unique, and everyone can develop in different ways. Our academy strives to judge each of you individually and define the best course of learning.
Since the psyche is heavily ingrained in the soul, there also exists a third power – faith. We're imperfect and intuitional beings, therefore so is our faith. For faith to exercise its power, it must either be faith in one's own power or it must work in relation to a power of higher faith, which in its absolute form would be the primordial source of faith. As humans, our power of faith in ourselves alone has no means to achieve a lot, but can occasionally enhance some aspects of our being. To achieve powerful results, through the system of beliefs and through the patronage of a higher force of faith, one may be granted abilities beyond its own capacity.
Higher forces of faith are systems naturally capable of collecting faith, that is, the more people believe in them, the more powerful they become. This effect is diminished by imperfections of the system, so in the case of humans, even entire nations believing in your force of faith could only lead to minor or even zero results. On top of that, the reverse effect is the same, close to no powers would be transferred to patroned believers.
With these three spheres of the psyche, we can determine the following three cardinal forces for each. For the mind – there is truth, for the heart – there is love, for the soul – there is faith. In the opposition, stands lies, hatred, and heresy. These six forces are the strongest powers that can enhance other aspects. They all are subjects to our rigor and intuition about these.
In theory, it's possible for an entity or a system to lack one or two of three spheres of the psyche, but usually, the system has one of the spheres severely limited. For example, androids feel no emotions but can fake them with reason. Beasts have their sphere of mind severely reduced and are acting on emotion-driven instincts. There are robots who worship machine gods and there are mindless clouds of pure emotions, drifting across the space and altering the affected systems.
In the psychical theory of systems, there exist extremes. In a plane of existence built only upon the sphere of truth, there can exist no faith or emotion-based magic and entities. In a realm built upon emotions or faith, it's what shapes the world. There are also other subsystems, such as built upon truth, with entities based on all three of the spheres, but without any magic at all. Of course, using tremendous amounts of the psyche, it might be possible to alter these systems from the outside.
Now, let's move a level higher. In theory, there can exist psychical singularities. Such entities have absolute power or understanding in certain categories. If these deities by nature are a higher force of faith, we call them deities. The trinity of absolute psychical power to alter the universe is an absolute mind, an absolute heart, and an absolute soul. We call such entities demiurges. Such being, in respect to their local universe, can be omnipowerful as derivative of absolute psychical ability to enchant the universe, omniscient, omniloving, and omnifaithful, and can affect any aspect of the local reality just with the psyche. For opposite spheres, alternatives also exist.
These deities, however, can have their psyche affected by the aspects, such as chaos, which as we already know, leads to insanity. The hypothetical demiurge can be omnipowerful, omniscient, omniloving, and omnifaithful and still be insane. Despite the awareness of its own insanity and capability to alter its own state to a non-insane one, the insane nature of the entity can prevent the being from doing that. Only with one specific absolute aspect of physicality, which is not related solely to corporeal bodies, one's core of psyche can be immune to such alterations.
Although short, it is what exhausts the topic for today. No homework.
