Notice: This is not a story for the faint of hearts. There will be cruelty and make no mistake. The main character is cynical and cold blooded. That being said it is a fantasy story, a xianxia. It is the story of a torturemaster from the from the imfamous hundred year war in the late middel ages being given a chance of redemption in another life.  A righteous act of cruelty gives our main character the chance encounter of a lifetime with someone as unlikely as a Buddhist monk. In France of all places. A debt is repayed and a chance for redemption is given. What path will the former torturemaster end up taking.
