After their new mother left the room, the two infants continued laying in their hospital cribs. They were looking at each other with amazement.
"Whoa, did you see her hair? Our new mom has superpowers!" Kristine exclaimed with excitement.
But Christopher was too focused on the system notifications floated above their heads to reply to her. He was curious about how their cheat system worked.
999 Love Points from Garrett Williams
999 Love Points from Nicole Williams
32 Love Points from Kim Bixley
“Garrett and Nicole Williams should be the name of my new parents.” Christopher thought as he inspected each name. “And Kim Bixley must be the nurse assigned to the maternity ward.”
Christopher was relieved to see that his new parents, the Williams, seem to really love and cherish him and his sister. They seem like good parents.
It was a welcome change from his previous life, where his relationship with his parents had been strained. Christopher made a promise to himself that this time around, things would be different.
"Hey, ugly! Did you hear me?" A girly voice sounded in his mind and he quickly switched his focus to Kristine, who was angry at being ignored again. "Are you going to respond or do I need to yell in your head again?" She snapped at him.
Christopher sighed deeply and replied, "I heard you. Our mom has superpowers. I guess people in this world have superpowers. Like those superheroes in movies." He tried to sound calm, even though he was a little excited about her powers.
"Do you think our dad has superpowers too?" Kristine asked. She had noticed their their father's military uniform and now she couldn't help but imagine the powers that their father might possess.
"Right now, we should probably focus on how our system works, so we can make use of it," Christopher suggested calmly.
Kristine glared at him with her large golden eyes and growled in annoyance but eventually returned her attention to the system window floating over their heads.
The two babies turned their attention to the system window, where they saw their current love and hatred points.
Love Points: 2073
Hatred Points: 7
"Okay system, what do we do with this? We've got 2073 love points," Kristine said, sounding more enthusiastic as she scrolled through the system options. "It's way higher than we expected."
By now, both of them discovered that the Angel and Devil system would reply to their questions and would generally be helpful unlike some of the systems in the novels they'd read online in their past life.
The system replied, "Love and Hatred points are used for lottery purposes. A random skill or trait will be awarded upon lottery roll. You have ten rolls available as a freebie. Each lottery roll will cost 100 points."
Kristine and Christopher saw that there were only two options.
Angel Lottery
Devil Lottery
"What are we waiting for? Let's play the lottery," Kristine declared. After a moment of hesitation, Christopher agreed and they chose "Angel Lottery", using their ten free rolls first.

As soon as they saw the results of the roll, a splitting headache assaulted their minds as if someone punched them in the temple, as the system uploaded data into their memories and sent their mind into a state of shock. Kristine and Christopher groaned loudly in pain as they rubbed her temples with their tiny thumbs, trying to keep themselves from passing out.
Eventually, the pain passed and their minds were clear again, but they found themselves blinking in surprise as they stared at each other, confused about what just happened. Then they realized they had new knowledge about singing, dancing, and many other skills that they never knew before in their lives.
"What is with this set of skills? Is the system trying to turn me into a K-pop star?" Kristine questioned as she ran her hand through her short blond hair.
"Is there something wrong with that?" Christopher replied, "I think our mom looks better than any K-pop star."
Recalling how their mother looked like, Kristine agreed, "That's true." She paused and thought about it.
"Hey, maybe I can be a streamer too. Hopefully, this place has a good streaming culture," she grinned mischievously, "and I can be the next Amouranth." She added that last part while winking at her brother.
"Please note that Love and Hatred Points can only be generated from in-person interactions," the system said after a short pause.
"I knew it, you do want me to become an idol," Kristine yelled as she stomped her foot on the bed of her crib angrily. "Well, it's not gonna happen!"
"...." The system didn't react and remained silent.
However, Christopher felt her frustration at not being able to be the first streamer, and he tried to comfort her by saying, "Streamers have tons of in-person streamer events so it's not impossible to have lots of opportunities to interact with other people."
But Kristine wasn't hearing anything he had to say. Instead, she continued complaining until the system was forced to change the subject.
"You still have 2073 Love points remaining," it replied in a robotic tone.
At this point, Christopher had enough and said, "Enough complaining! Let's play the lottery again!"
Kristine turned and glared at him for interrupting her, but he ignored her anger and she relented and said "Fine."
"System, is there any way we can focus on one book instead of getting random rewards?" Christopher said. "It's kind of stupid to have all these random skills and traits."
The system responded, "You can purchase additional copies of any skill or traits you rolled before with 200 Love Points (double the amount of a random roll) or you can wager more points at once to get multiple copies of a random reward at once."
"So we're allowed to buy more books? That seems cool," Christopher replied as he tapped on the "Angel Lottery" once more. "So if I use all 2000 points at once, I will get 20 copies of a random book?"
"That is correct," answered the system in an uninterested tone.
"Okay, that's perfect, then," Christopher announced excitedly as he selected the highest amount of points to wager. "Let's roll." As he clicked roll,

x20 Piano Skill Book: Increase proficiency in piano playing.
"See, I told you the system wants us to be superstars like Zhang Ye." Kristine referenced as she prepared for the incoming headache that was surely coming next.
Pain exploded in both their heads as the system downloaded massive amounts of information into their brains. Once again, they had to rub their temples to stop the pounding pain.
Christopher's mind reeled from all the new things that had entered his thoughts. False memories of piano lessons were suddenly recalled and now he knew how to read music and play the piano perfectly well.
"I'm beginning to see what you mean, sis." He mumbled quietly to himself as he stared out the window to take his mind off of the pain.
"Wait, we still got the 10 free rolls for Devil Lottery," Christopher recalled from memory and then glanced over at his sister with interest. "Let's play that one too.
Kristine thought the name of lottery sounded ominous but she nodded in agreement and said, "Hopefully we have better luck using this lottery."
"Hey, system, can we use all ten free rolls to obtain 10 copies of a random skill or trait," Kristine asked and was immediately greeted with a reply.
"Sure thing, no problem." The system added cheerfully.
"Good, I will be using all 10 free rolls on a single reward then," Kristine explained her plan.
And then she waited patiently for the system to process their request and show them the results of their next roll.

x10 Torture Skill Book: Increase proficiency in torture.
"FUCK YOU SYSTEM" Kristine screamed in rage when she saw the results of the roll. Her instincts were correct.
She buried her face against the bedding in preparation for the pain she knew was coming as the system uploaded data into her brain. "Damn it!" She grumbled loudly as she rubbed her forehead in anticipation of the pain.
Images of gore and torture flooded her vision as the system downloaded the content into her mind and she felt sick at how brutal the content was. She wanted to throw up, but there wasn't much time because the pain struck hard and fast as her brain absorbed all the information. The same thing happened with Christopher as he became sickened by the contents.
It took a long while, but eventually, the images vanished from their minds and they were left looking blankly at each other in shock.
Both children sat bolt upright in bed, dazed and confused by what they had just witnessed in their minds. They both gasped for breath while they struggled to comprehend the new memories, which were completely foreign to them. Their bodies trembled with fear at what they'd seen.
"Our system sucks," Kristine said telepathically as tears formed in her eyes. Her body shivered violently as her arms hugged herself tightly, trembling from head to toe.
"Yeah... FUCK YOU SYSTEM!" Christopher repeated in agreement. His chest heaved up and down quickly as he gulped for air while shaking his head vigorously trying to forget what he'd experienced. He was clutching his pillow so tight that his knuckles turned white.
