Ged was always a bit odd. Growing up, little ever seemed to bother him. He went through life with a carefree smile, and whenever something did trouble him, a strange vision of a green grassy hill would ease his mind. Free from the usual worries or frustrations, Ged settled into a comfortable mediocrity, content to go along with whatever life brought his way. That all changed when he was accepted as a disciple of the influential Church of Mount Existence. This enigmatic religious order sent invitations across the land to join a trial, and Ged set off on an adventure to take part in this mysterious, life-altering event, making both friends and enemies along the way. But all is not as it seems. The church is controlled by powerful sorcerers wielding both mystical and deadly techniques, where reality and the unknown coexist in a precarious harmony. As a great mystery surrounding the nature of existence begins to unravel, the mythical Mount Existence and its fabled Peak are revealed as real. Despite his rocky start and unusual temperament, Ged must grow in strength, driven to pursue the elusive Peak of Existence.
