Born and raised to be a Merchant class, selling items and weapons was a comfortable, if boring destiny. Fighting was best left to the real adventurers; the Warriors, Mages, Rogues, and other combat classes out facing the monstrous forces of Chaos. But Order, the deity of the world governing system, has a funny way of placing new paths in front of people just trying to get by.  What started as the simple act of picking up a sword spirals out of control as Conrad unwittingly finds himself a pawn in someone else's game.   Body counts rise, friendship and love is earned and lost, and with death on the line and no way out, Conrad is forced to confront the ultimate choice of destiny as his old way of viewing the world comes into violent confrontation with the death-as-personality world of adventurers.
