Greetings.  My name is Abel.  I'm a magician's apprentice, studying under a master who is widely reputed to be one of the most paranoid magi to ever walk this earth.  Oh, but don't worry.  I take pride in being paranoid too. After all, it's not paranoia if they really are out to get you. As for this?  This is the story - the true, unfiltered, unedited story - of how my apprenticeship ended in fire and a transdimensional explosion, and of my journeys in the world that I found myself blasted into.  It's also the story of how I became a Paranoid Mage's Apprentice, and the story of the idiot Dark Lord who was responsible for screwing up my life in the first place. And just for the record: I've made very sure that the details of this story will never make it off this magic-less world, just to be sure that they can never be used against me. I am paranoid, after all. Greetings, readers!  This story is my first work being published on Royal Road Legends, or anywhere else for that matter. Please be gentle. Anyway, this story has been knocking around the inside of my head for a while now, and I decided it was time to put it down on e-paper and release it for the world to see.  I have the outline of this story planned out for most of the first book, but there's a lot of parts that are subject to change in the future and I'm wide open to suggestions.  Please feel free to put down your comments, ideas, and reviews as they come. Chapters for this fiction will be released irregularly; I haven't decided yet whether to adhere to a schedule or whether to just write as I feel like it.  For now, I'm just going to write as things come to me, and we'll see how things go from there.
