In a world where sixty percent of the population are mages, and the other forty, humans, Gyan, the human orphan of the two most powerful mages on earth, gains powers when he and a group of other kids are kidnapped at school, by a mage who practices black magic. Because of the manner through which his powers came about, and the fact that they don't trust him, they contemplate stripping him of his powers, but due to his late parents' contribution to the world, how weak he still is, and the support he gets from the head mage, they leave him alone. Despite his newfound powers, he's still bullied by the mages at school, even more harshly this time, but a human substitute teacher, Liliana, steps in and they become friends from there. As the average Joe he is, he begins to take lessons with her and during one of their sessions, he gains the power to see the future, and sees he's stabbed, except he doesn't know who did it. The sky cried blood when he gained his powers, so the mages in the city knew something huge was going on, and after their investigations, they discover someone (Gyan) is going to bring destruction, and destroy the balance between humans and mages, and so they set out to find the culprit. Gyan and Liliana, who agrees to keep his secret and help him out, sets out to prevent his murder, and find the mage who started it all, so he'll end it all, but when Gyan keeps gaining more and more abilities with each passing moment, keeping his secret becomes tough, and finding his killer even tougher.
