Young Alexander's life has not slowed down once since he can remember. But he can't remember past his eight birthday, so that's not saying much. When the man who took him in as his son is threatened, Alex must make a difficult choice. It leads him far away to an abandoned school for little wizards, with a missing Headmaster and a dysfunctional staff. When he gets there, he is surprised to find everyone already hates him.
