In the not-too-distant future, in the wake of a nuclear war, the world is doomed to be a lifeless wasteland. But as the first bomb dropped, something strange happened. High doses of radiation became an inconvenience instead of a death sentence. Dismemberment was completely fixable with some stitches and some rest. A knife to the heart would only put someone out for a few days. Even those whose bodies were completely gone from the blasts remained as ghosts, able tossess objects and remain present in the world.  In short, people stopped truly dying, and no one knew why. Not only that, but people began to exhibit supernatural abilities and magic began to flourish again.
