Chapter 5. Confused Ungaboonga

Moving his mental power toward the human tribes, Cedric observed their overall situation.

Currently, there doesn’t seem to be much interaction between the tribes.

But, as all of those tribes are built next to a river. With a little guidance from him, having those tribes come in contact with each other can be easily achieved.

While he observed the human tribes, Cedric found out they’re either located nearby an open ore deposit or located at an extremely fertile area. The more easy to access ore deposits that’s located nearby, the less fertile their area will be.

He looked thoughtful and said, “I am pretty bad with biology and geo whatever knowledge this is. Is it natural for places with high ore density to be less fertile?’

Although he can’t understand it, Cedric’s gut feelings said there are more reasons for this. After all, the grounds here are crafted by his GP with the help of the System. So, it is completely natural for there to be a reason for such a balanced spread.

Cedric discarded those thoughts and began observing all ten human tribes. After a short moment of contemplation, he finally selected one of the tribe as his target.

Although the area around this tribe aren’t as prosperous as the others where wild foods are aplenty. The place they’re located at is surrounded by ore and sedimentary deposits that exist near the surface. Those deposits mainly contain copper, silver, and coals. Slightly further away, there is even a small open deposit for tin. Just the needed materials to make some bronzes.

Cedric observed everyone inside the small tribe before focusing on the strongest hunter. “As a hunter, this guy should’ve got some understanding of the surrounding areas. Furthermore, in a tribe where hunting animals is their main source of food, the status of a hunter should be higher than the others.”

With his target decided, Cedric waited until the hunter reached the safety of his house at night before pulling him to the dream space.

Cedric then visited the elf he had marked before in the afternoon and pulled him into the dream space too. Although that elf had just woken up, thanks to the power of [Divine Intervention: Dream], he fell into sleep once more.

Cedric pulls his mental power back and starts controlling the body he prepared in the dream space.

Although the two people he pulled inside might not be able to see his face due to the light on his face, he still wore a smile as he looked at the two of them.

Inside the Dream Space made by the [Divine Intervention: Dream], Cedric first placed his sight on the human.

He is a man in his late twenties with a massive build and tanned body full of muscles. On his body, he wore clothes made out of processed animal skins which help with keeping their body warm during winter.

Then, he moved his sight to the elf. This elf looks like a handsome teenager with disinterested looks. That’s mainly because he still looks a bit sleepy even though he has already slept for eight whole hours.

‘Is something wrong with this elf? Is he actually sick?’ Cedric curiously looks at the elf before slightly shaking his head. ‘Well, it doesn’t matter, I’ll just check it later. Even if he is indeed ill, it won’t affect my plan as long as he shares what he saw here.’

After coming into decision, he internally recited the line he had prepared several times, and started his performance. With a flat tone, he greets the two of them using the Divine Language, “Be not afraid, o children of the Crystal Cube world.”

Once he spoke, both human and elf got startled and placed their sight on Cedric. That elf even got his eyes wide awake from shock.

As he can feel the energy in [Divine Intervention: Dream] decreasing with each passing second. Before those two could say anything, Cedric quickly said. “I summoned you here to grant you the knowledge required to start a civilization for both of your races. But before that, let me teach you about civilization.”

Help support creative writers by finding and reading their stories on the original site.

He then waved his hand that held the staff and created an illusion by spending some energy inside [Divine Intervention: Dream].

With the decrease in [Divine Intervention: Dream]’s energy, a hologram-like illusory cities appear in the Dream Space.

All of the city looks blurry except for the biggest one located in the center.

It is a medieval city surrounded by walls, all of its main streets are prosperous and full of liveliness. In the city’s center, a palace is built, where many nobles and the king are busy discussing inside the throne room.

While both the elf and human observed the city in shock. Cedric begins talking about the concept of kingdom, cities, and other information while observing them.

The human is initially afraid and panicked after being summoned to an unknown place. But once he observed the city for a short time, he seemed to be captivated by the sight and listened to his explanation in fervor. To the point he is unable to pull his sight from it.

As for the elf, although after the initial fear and confusion he also stares at the illusory city blankly. But once he regains his senses, Cedric can occasionally feel the elf glance at his direction.

After a few minutes passed, he stopped the illusion and dispersed it.

Along with the city’s disappearance, the human woke up from his daze. At the same time, Cedric spoke. “Your race will also have such a city. But every grand endeavor must start from somewhere.”

He pushed his left arm forward and opened his palm before creating a coal. “This is coal. A useful item that can generate extreme heat for a considerable time. It will also allow you to survive the cold winter more easily.”

He then pushed his right arm and created a projection of bronze, “This is bronze. It is an alloy made by combining copper with tin. It can be melted and shaped into many items that will be of great use for your respective race’s civilization.”

Thanks to the memory boost from godhood, after he ruminate about it, Cedric remembered how to create bronze from a wikipedia page he accidentally read in his previous life.

So, once both the elf and human have seen the bronze he created. Cedric changed it into the shape of copper ore and tin ore. “This is what copper and tin looks like in nature. Melt nine copper with one tin through the help of coal, and you shall have a bronze. Use it to craft useful tools that shall become the foundation of your respective races!”

He then makes the copper ore and tin ore in his hand melt before merging them. Once he was done, Cedric lowered his arms and asked both the elf and human. “Do any of you have any questions? As the amount of time we have is limited, I can only answer one question for each of you.”

The human came forward and asked in human language, “Who are you?”

Hearing the question, Cedric smiled and replied in Divine Language. “I am the creator of the Crystal Cube world. You may think of me as the guide for every creature in the world.”

“Creator?” The human spoke in confusion before he asked, “As in a god? Also what is the Crystal Cube world?”

To answer the man’s confusion, Cedric replied. “Well, you can call it that way. Whenever it is necessary, I will appear and guide the creatures in the world to advance. As for the Crystal Cube world, it is the name of the world you lived in. “

Cedric saw both the human and elf look shocked upon hearing his answer. But before the human could open his mouth and ask another question, Cedric stopped them. “Alright then, that’s already three questions. I answered you because I feel generous today, but my time is precious.’

“Are there any other questions? This question will be the last one.” Cedric spoke while subtly glancing at the elf.

The elf quickly asked while pointing at Cedric’s direction, “What are those items you have?”

Cedric slowly explained the five items he wore. “The one I sat on is a throne while the one on my head is a crown, both of them a symbol of authority. As for the one on my waist, it is called a sword, a weapon used to fight. The clothes I wore is a robe, while the one I held on my hand is a scepter or staff, which is both a symbol of authority and a weapon.”

Once he finished, Cedric waved his arms and bid them farewell as he kicked them from the Dream Space. “Our time is up, I hope we can meet again in the future.”

Once he sent the two of them back, Cedric retrieved the mental power he placed in the Dream Space and returned it to his main body in the Divine Space.

Sitting at a chair in his Divine Space while holding the pale pink octahedron crystal shaped [Divine Intervention: Dream]. Cedric used his mental power and saw only less than half of its energy remained.

During the previous time he taught those two about civilization and method to craft bronze, Cedric has been constantly checking the amount of energy inside the [Divine Intervention: Dream].

Changing the sky’s color, creating a body to be possessed, crafting items like crown, and other things doesn’t cost much. Even creating that illusory city doesn’t cost much energy initially.

But once both the human and elf start looking at the illusory city, the speed of energy consumption greatly increases.

Tapping his hand on the octahedron crystal, he concluded. “Creating things in the Dream Space doesn’t cost much. It’s only when the creature I pulled observed does the energy inside decrease rapidly. It’s exactly as advertised in the item’s description before.”

While holding his chin, Cedric muttered. “This Divine Item can still be used once or twice as long as the information I share isn’t too complicated. Which means I need to use them wisely, because this stupid thing costs the same as 200 years of my GP income.”

He then sighed, “This makes me remember some sandbox strategy game I played before. I need to manage the amount of resources I have wisely. Especially the GP that the System lent me initially.”
