Earth, a few hours after Kame got transmigrated to another world.
A drunk woman in her early twenties walked in front of a school gate while being intoxicated.
She has a black hair that’s tied to a ponytail as it sways with her every step. On her body, she wore an office uniform consisting of a white shirt and a black tight-fitting skirt. Her right hand held a mid sized purse without any brand on it.
While walking, she suddenly stopped and cried. “Damn it, why must this happen to me! That stupid guy seriously thought I cheated, even though I’ve explained it multiple times that I am doing overtime work and not cheating!”
“I am sure he is the one that cheated and has found a new girlfriend. That’s why he accused me of such a ridiculous reason!” While complaining, she placed her right hand on her mouth as her eyes darted around.
‘Trash can! Trash can! Where is the trash can? I feel so nauseous.’ While thinking so, the woman saw a trash can in an alley nearby. With incredible speed, she ran toward it.
When she almost reached the trash bin, a crimson glow appeared under her feet. The shock from that sudden light made her stomach churn and she simply couldn’t hold it anymore.
“Blerrgggh” Before the teleportation circle that Cedric left took her, she had accidentally emptied her stomach into the alley. Just when she tried to look for something to clean the mess, she suddenly disappeared from Earth.
The only trace of her existence are those vomits she will never have the time to clean.

Wiping the trace of vomit around her mouth, Nana Tsukiko found herself suddenly appearing in the middle of a backward village street. She called them backward because all the buildings inside the village are made with a mix of stone and woods.
Turning slightly sober from the shock, she turned her head upward and saw the sun in the sky. Her slightly bloodshot eyes immediately widened from the shock. “How come time suddenly passes so quickly, afternoon literally arrived in the blink of an eye! I think I shouldn’t go drinking anymore.”
She then turned around and checked her surroundings.
On one end of the road, she saw a massive wall surrounding the village, or perhaps the city she was in. That wall is around the height of two-storied buildings and entirely made of gray colored stones. While on the other end, he could faintly see a massive building made out of stones.
While she is observing her surroundings while slightly tipsy, Tsukiko faintly hears the surrounding people’s shocked voices.
A deep voice shouted while pointing in her direction, “To suddenly appear after a flash of light. She is definitely a blessed!”
Several shocked sounds mixed in as they gasped, “A blessed?!”
A different voice talked loudly. “But I’ve never seen someone like her before in the city. Furthermore, the clothes she wore were extremely weird. What kind of material is used for her clothes?”
An old woman chimed in, “Perhaps she is someone from another city who has just awakened her blessing and wishes to give her respect to the king.”
Their shouts made Tsukiko wake up from her daze and observed them.
Around her, there are dozens of people wearing clothes made of animal skins. Actually, calling them clothes is already a praise, mainly because their clothes are pretty messy with holes here and there. It makes the clothes look more like a rag rather than proper clothes.
She observed their facial expression and found out those people looked at her with awe. Seeing her looking at them, they nudged at each other for a long time.
After an entire minute of nudging at each other, an old man finally came forward and asked Tsukiko. “Blessed Lady, please pardon this old man’s disrespect. Are you a noble from another city? I’ve never seen you in Winter City before.”
Tsukiko paused a moment after she realized the old man spoke in a foreign language she never heard before. She is a bit confused as to why she could understand his words.
This story originates from Royal Road. Ensure the author gets the support they deserve by reading it there.
Soon, Tsukiko connected her situation and realized something. ‘Did I just transmigrate to another world? There also seems to be some sort of translation magic cast on me that allows me to understand the language they used.’
Tsukiko realized she had ignored the old man for a long time and bowed. “Apologize, sir. I’ve been thinking about something.”
She then quickly replied. “I came from a faraway land and have just arrived in this city today.”
The old man asked with a questioning look. “Far away land? Well, it’s alright if this lady doesn’t wish to tell me about it. But I suggest you tell which city you come from when you meet the king.”
Although she is a bit curious why the old man respond as such upon hearing she come from far away land. But another thing has captured her attention, and she immediately asked, “Meet the king?”
The old man looks at her with surprise. “Aren’t you a blessed that visited Winter City from far away to give your respect to the king? Anyway, if you wish to meet the king, Pariam over there can guide you. She is one of the chefs in the palace.”
The old man pointed his hand toward a plump woman that wore slightly more exquisite clothing. The woman’s face slightly changed when she saw the old man pointed at her.
Seeing Tsukiko staring at her, Pariam awkwardly smiled. “Well, I’ve indeed just planned to return to the palace. I’ll gladly accompany you..”
Tsukiko thought for a moment and decided to join Pariam to visit the palace.
Although she doesn’t understand the whole blessed thing. Tsukiko thinks visiting the palace might be the best way for her to gather more information about the situation she’s in.
After Tsukiko followed Pariam for almost an hour, she finally arrived at the palace-like building she saw before. While standing next to the wall that surrounds the palace, Pariam suddenly said, “Amazing, right? This is a palace built by the first king with the help of thousands of people.”
Although Tsukiko feels like the palace isn’t complete yet, she still nods upon hearing Pariam’s words. After all, even though it is unfinished, the palace already looks extremely grand.
After walking around the wall for a few minutes, Tsukiko finally arrived at a three meter tall gate.
In front of the gate, a few guards stood in attention and stopped Tsukiko and Pariam. ”Halt!”
One of them went forward and talked with Pariam, “Pariam, why did you bring another person here? Don’t you know the punishment for bringing an outsider into the palace?”
“She is a recently awakened blessed that wishes to have an audience with the king.” Pariam calmly nodded and explained. She then turned toward Tsukiko and said, “I will take my left first.”
When the guard heard Pariam introduce Tsukiko as a blessed, he hurriedly bowed. “I apologize for the disrespect. A newly awakened blessed indeed has the chance to meet with the king. But first, may we see your blessed power?”
Tsukiko looked at the guard and asked, “Can you explain more about this blessed power thing?”
The guard stared at Tsukiko in confusion, “The person who sent you to meet the king hasn’t told you anything about being a blessed?”
Seeing the guard doesn’t turn hostile at her ignorance, Tsukiko shook her head and said, “I am only told to meet the king.”
The guard held his forehead and sighed, “Well then, let me explain it as briefly as I can.”
“Blessed power is power that can be awakened by some humans. It is said to be a blessing from the creator of the human race. Those who have been blessed will gain power surpassing ordinary humans. Some will have increased strength, while others might be able to conjure and control elements…”
Hearing the guard’s explanation up to that point, Tsukiko thought, ‘Oh, so they are pretty much the magic in this world.’
With that information in mind, she began to prepare a plan to let her enter the palace.
After all, Tsukiko knows that she isn’t a blessed or whatever it is. So, she needs to trick her way in with the items on her body.
“...So, can you please show me your blessed power now?” When the guard finished his explanation, Tsukiko had already concocted a plan in her mind.
“Alright.” She searched around her pocket and pulled out her smartphone.
Seeing her pulling the smartphone from her pocket, the guard slightly retreated. He then watched as Tsukiko fiddled with her phone for a moment before activating the music and increased the volume.
While she walked in the city, Tsukiko determined the civilization in this city should have just reached the bronze age. She also doesn’t think they have any items capable of recording sounds. So, a simple music should do.
‘Who knows, my habit of downloading the song I often listened to would save me in another world.’ she thought while opening the music apps. Tsukiko then randomly chosen a song on her playlist and pressed the play button.
Soon, the sound of an instrumental song can be heard by the surrounding guards. While looking at the guard’s surprised expression, she said. “My blessed power is to make light and song come out of this box.”
The surrounding guards listened to the sound coming from her phone. Initially, the expressions on their faces are a bit weird, just like when someone is looking at a moron. But after hearing the sound of many instruments coming from the smartphone, they looked at each other while discussing in a low voice.
After a short discussion, one of them ran toward the palace and disappeared from Tsukiko’s view.
While Tsukiko paid some attention to the guard that ran into the palace. The guard in front of her smiled and said, “We have never seen someone with power like yours before. So, please come with me and wait in front of the main entrance. My colleague has sent the news of your arrival to the king.”
Tsukiko nodded and paused the song. After returning her smartphone to her pocket, she followed the guard toward the palace.
After passing through the palace’s garden while appreciating the beauty of another world’s flower garden, both of them stood in front of the main door.
Looking at the unnecessarily massive palace door, Tsukiko waits while occasionally chatting with the guard and tries to dig up some information about the world she suddenly found herself in.
