A subterranean gelatinous slime monster goes off the beaten path and finds himself exploring the surface world. Djel has never quite fit in with his colony, always doing things his own way for better or for worse. While the others all seemed to focus on either physical development or magical development, he has always had an interest in constructing mechanical contraptions.  One day he discovers a vast new world unlike anything he’s seen underground. The surface. Armed with just his contraptions and what could almost be interpreted as a smile on his face, Djel embarks on an adventure to boldly go where no slimefolk have gone before.
