An old school, epic length, slow burn, science-fantasy tale. In The Medallion, Corvan’s ongoing subterranean adventure becomes increasingly complicated by his dependence to the power of the lumien seeds. The storyline expands to include Kate’s POV and the city of Kadir becomes a doorway to other caverns, cities and settlements. BACKGROUND INFO As a child of the 1960’s I decided to write a classic, old school, science-fantasy.  As a web novel, I can develop my soft sci-fi, low fantasy in much more detail than traditional publishing would allow. The result is an oddball book which is both slow burn but also an action adventure. It was originally just a fun bit of retro sci-fi but lately it has morphed into something a bit more rational and issue oriented. Emulating vintage “portal” fiction such as “Stranger from the Depths” (1967) this subterranean adventure takes place in real space and time; a midwest mining town in 1952. Love interests reflect the historical time frame and the young age of the MC’s. There is a significant shift heading into book II. The Sensitive Content relates mainly to the second volume, The Medallion, in relation to the addictive properties of a substance found in the Cor.  I intentionally keep author notes to a minimum.
