This is the beginning of a new series of novellas loosely based on a viking tradition of lore and skalds, with a little bit of magic thrown in for good measure. Thus songs and histories are important. I am still working on the first draft of the first novella, but these two songs - a little poem about the main character's homeland and where they are at the beginning of the story and a historical lay about an old king - will start out the novella nomatter where it ends up being published. So I would like to share these. I will be including an audio version with the tune for the historical lay at some point in the near future, as well as other songs once they are finalized and, eventually, some prose as well. :D I can't wait to hear what y'all think.
