[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] The apocalypse came not with an explosion, but with a whisper. All at once, modern technology disappeared leaving everyone on Earth with a simple message. "The apocalypse has arrived. You have 24 hours to prepare." Callum Green had just managed to secure his first true job out of college when the warning came. Nearly missing the warning at first, he will have to quickly learn what is going on and how to survive in this new world. Realizing that he now has a blank slate, he will seek to make a name for himself in this new world that never would have been possible. Armed with only a sword made by his friend, he would have to fight his way through numerous monsters and people taking advantage of the apocalypse to survive. What to expect: - litRPG - slow growth at the start - kingdom building - experimentation with magic - MC who wields both magic and blade [Authors Note] As this is part of the Royal Road Writathon, my goal is to mainly just get the words out there. For the duration of the writathon (until May 5th) uploads will be daily at 1:30 pm ET. Chapters will be ~1.8k to ~2k words. I'm going to do my best to avoid plotholes, but it is possible that some escape. Feel free to let me know and I'll do my best to fix them.
