Still reeling from the horrors of the civil war, the Aseaven Kingdom maintains a precarious toehold on its territories, even as the neighbouring Engad Empire eyes it covetously. Partisans seek to revive an insurgency while conspiring forces and corruption gnaw at the roots of the Aseaven monarchy.  Young but weary of his duties as a noble in the Aseaven Kingdom, Archil jumps at the first opportunity to study magic. But the road of wizardry is not as easy as it seems, something which Archil soon discovers.
