After being murdered, Kol discovers he is a necromancer capable of bringing himself back to life. He soon gets recruited by a mage to join her cause, but is really intent on getting revenge on the people who've wronged him, but is soon forced to choose between holding on to grudges and building a new life for himself. Along the way, he finds himself constantly assailed by various factions of the mage community, the conflicts spanning the entire world. Will he find peace with his new life, or let his own hate turn him into a monster?
