Lan has always been unlucky—comically, devastatingly, impossibly unlucky. If there was a wrong place and a wrong time, he’d find himself there without fail. After a lifetime of dodging disaster (poorly) and a final, particularly absurd twist of fate, he dies… only to wake up with a second chance at life. This time, things feel different. The gods, in all their infinite wisdom (or incompetence?), seem to have shifted things in ways he can’t quite explain. As he navigates this new existence, he begins to question whether fate is finally giving him a break—or setting him up for something even worse.
