Synopsis
In a time long past, the wayward sorcerer Gazen forged his own path through the sky. In his journey to find his own way, he accidentally volunteers to help a race of sentient frog-folk achieve immortality.
The heedless quest for immortality was the very same one that drove him from home in the first place, but cursed with less than a year of lifespan, the Toah people don’t seek immortality for personal gain, nor do they have time to waste achieving it. They desire endless life merely to see their children reach maturity, unlike the selfish goals he grew up buried in.
Gazen knew immortality to be nothing but a fairy tale, so he flew away from home as soon as he had the means. Striking out on the open sky, he wanted only to prove himself right, if anything. Now that an unheard of race claims to have already found it, however, his sorcerous heart could not turn a blind eye. If he reaches it, he will become the greatest of his people, and if he fails… His parents will still be wrong, and he’ll be back out on the clouds either way.
