After being sentenced for murder Maya Hunter is send to Fort Iron, a very different kind of prison. There she and other criminals are forced to venture into the Es’Land Wilds in search of rare and valuable materials for the nobility as punishment. The Wilds are a dangerous place from which only few return alive.
