Synopsis
Erin had forgotten everything.
Well, that’s not exactly right.
He had forgotten who he was — the person or entity — that he used to be.
He still remembered things, though; objects, places, holidays…. He remembered pencils, doctors, and feeding the ducks on Tuesdays.
But through all of his scattered memories, his discombobulated visions of a past forgotten — Erin awoke to something extraordinarily unfamiliar.
Erin awoke as a gemstone; he was violet and small.
He found himself in a dimly lit cavern, underground and discarded. He heard waves crash beyond him; an ocean near.
Erin tried to breathe, blink, move; he tried to live, but against his better expectations — he had no lungs to breathe, no eyes to blink, and no limbs to move.
Waves continued to crash beyond him and when Erin least expected it — something clicked.
The tides of mana around responded to his call.
Although fictitious, mana acted on Erin’s behalf; it became his lungs, his eyes, and his limbs.
When Erin awoke, he didn’t remember much.
Luckily, the things he did remember — he could recreate.
There‘s only one problem; the ocean beyond — a galleon shipwrecked — adventurer’s disembarked — a dungeon discovered.
They found Erin.
