Alex suddenly found himself on the scorching sands of a gladiator arena with enemies hell-bent on killing him. Bewildered and afraid, he picked up the closest weapon he could find, which just so happened to be a shield. The new world he was summoned to is vastly different from Earth. Magic exists.
