Synopsis
Anik, an Alaskan of Inuit heritage, is bullied into a rage at the same time as a mysterious ice explosion at the hockey rink sends his tormentors to hospital. Later, he searches for his missing sister and finds her at the lake as the Northern Lights explode around them. As he approaches her, there is the unmistakable sound of the thick ice cracking as a strange tropical land appears in front of him.
Yuna is just a normal Nagasaki school girl dreaming of making it as a silent-movie star while a war she wants to ignore rages around her. A decision made thousands of miles away means nuclear terror appears from the heavens, causing a rip in spacetime. Yuna is sucked through to a strange new land while the blast turns her world into radioactive dust.
Anik wakes up on a strange tropical island to be harassed by strange birds, while Yuna is washed up on shore to be promptly arrested for Apple Theft; a serious capital crime in the Acrusian State.
Can Anik make it off the island with only his bare hands and a strange book he found, and can Yuna use her charm and intellect to escape the hangman’s noose?
