Esmira Vinell is the typical homebody loner who one day has had enough of being alone with her thoughts all the time and begins a search for a housemate. She finds Aerith, a woman that is very pleasant to be around and they quickly form a close bond as close friends though unbeknownst to them both, they had begun to fall for each other. When it finally comes down to confronting their feelings for each other something happens. It turns out Esmira still has the worst immune system of all time and she becomes so sickly that she awakens in a hospital bed 2 weeks after being hospitalized. Odd things have been showing up in her dreams, she's been seeing strange shadow creatures in her dreams and around her when she's awake and she doesn't know why. Not even the creature itself inclines to tell her anything and now she suddenly has powers she has to deal with too? Now Esmira is faced with the option of whether or not to inform Aerith, her housemate of all of this and hope that things don't go even worse from there.
