This is not a story about a hero. It is not a story about a villain, although perhaps it shares more similarities with that than anything else. This is a story about a tradesman, if a rather grim one. The man we will follow here is good at what he does. What he does is a matter of perspective, but he does understand that there's only so many ways to view a career built on finding the valuables hidden behind people's ribcages. Qi cores. Human ones, specifically. They go for a lot, and it's easy to find them if you know where to look. He has killed, and he will kill again if all goes well. All will not go well for the man we will follow. We are not the only ones following the Harvester. There is a storm coming for the man, and he will not like the things he finds within himself.
