Volume 3: Sage is on her own for the first time in her life. Well, not really. Diana, her mother's familiar, has come with her, at the insistence of her father. Sage longs to help strengthen the bonds between humanity and feyfolk, and knows that her new job as the fey ambassador assistant will help her do just that, as the country of Tern has long been wary of feyfolk in general. No one displays this wariness more to her than Callan, the very grumpy (but somehow really attractive??) Captain of the Guard at the palace. When strange occurrences happen around the palace, Sage finds herself taking the blame, even though she's done nothing wrong. Will Sage find herself locked away in the dungeon for things she didn't do? Or will Callan overcome his dislike for fey folk, who are to blame for the death of his parents, and prove that Sage is innocent of anything she's accused of, even murder?! (The characters from books 1 and 2 are in this story!) Volume 2: Marrina is a mermaid with a lovely voice, not that that's very unusual, let's be honest! But her gift lets her do more than simple siren song. Arden, a half-fey man stumbles upon Marrina and her friends, held captive in a circus, and discovers her amazing abilities. Will he be able to help her and her fellow captive fey folk escape to freedom? Or will he himself become enslaved as well? (The characters from book 1 do show up in this story!) Volume 1: Out in the countryside, on a little farm in a cozy cottage by the forest, lives Winna and her two cats. Winna's purpose in life is to help her community with the weak healing skill she inherited from her mother. When a cute black cat with gorgeous green eyes and a hurt paw appears, Winna takes him in without hesitation, not realizing that she's welcoming far more than just another cat into her quiet little life. Expect magic, fey shenanigans, a cozy, slice-of-life pace, and cats! Please note, volume 1 is kind of slow to get started! (I'd say Ch 7 is where things really start to get interesting) The fey in this story are my own take on the fair folk, so they'll be a little different from your more traditional fey.
