How can a scoundrel use powers he barely understand himself?  What does it mean to be a god? How does the divine react to someone who's very existence defies their rule? Ricard doesn't know the answer to any of these questions. But unless he plans on getting his kneecaps eaten by draconic loan sharks, being enslaved by drunken wizards or experimented on by booze running alchemists he needs to figure them out rather quickly.
