Axel, a boy out of his element, suddenly thrust into a different world, the vibrant city of Kinowa, the heart of Nu'tar. With nothing but his wits, he struggles to adapt to a place that is entirely foreign to him. Just as he begins to feel lost, a guiding hand helps him navigate the unfamiliar terrain. However, Axel's attempts to remain unnoticed are thwarted by an unexpected law: everyone must attend an Academy to learn to control their magic and graduate. As he grapples with his new life at the Academy, Axel must juggle his studies, manage his finances, and search for a way back to his own world.
