Synopsis
Kenji, a data analyst from 21st-century Tokyo, obsessed with optimization and efficiency, finds himself abruptly transported to a world of cultivators and magical beasts. This isn't your typical serene Xianxia landscape; it's a world where the very fabric of reality seems to be glitching. Stats pop up before his eyes – [Strength: 3], [Qi Circulation: Inefficient], [Social Skills: Debuff: Social Anxiety]. He’s landed squarely within a LitRPG system, but one that’s clearly malfunctioning.
Kenji’s initial attempts to cultivate are disastrous. His data-driven approach clashes violently with the intuitive nature of Qi. He tries to quantify the flow of energy, creating complex spreadsheets and algorithms, only to trigger system errors and receive debuffs like [Confusion: 5 Turns] and [Qi Backlash: Minor Damage].
He stumbles upon a hidden village, a haven for other "glitched" individuals. Among them is Anya, a former medieval history student who now possesses the skill [Historical Analysis (Bugged)]: it provides incredibly detailed but often useless information about the history of random objects, like [Dust Particle 47B-Alpha: Originates from the 3rd Dynasty’s Great Brooming]. There's also Gorok, a gentle giant who used to be a blacksmith. His [Blacksmithing (Overpowered)] skill allows him to craft legendary weapons from scrap metal, but they often randomly transform into household appliances.
Together, they realize the world they're in is somehow pulling in aspects from different realities, creating this unstable environment. Kenji, with his analytical mind, begins to see patterns in the glitches. He theorizes that the system is trying to reconcile conflicting world rules – the rigid hierarchy of a cultivation world, the statistical nature of a LitRPG, the technological advancements of his own time, and even the historical context of Anya’s world.
Their journey becomes one of fixing the system, using their unique “glitches” to their advantage. Kenji learns to adapt his data-driven approach, creating "patches" for the system, turning debuffs into buffs, and finding exploits in the malfunctioning mechanics. Anya’s historical knowledge, though often irrelevant, sometimes provides crucial clues about the world's original, pre-glitch state. Gorok’s unpredictable crafting becomes a source of both powerful weapons and hilarious mishaps.
