College student, Damian Nesbitt, is having a normal evening the night before Halloween, when he suddenly finds himself in an ambulance on life support!  Then, he dies.  But that’s just the beginning of his story – on his way to the afterlife, his guardian angel recruits him to help stop the evil spirit that caused his death. And they need to rescue a former classmate of his, Irene Groves, a witch who had a secret crush on Damian. Unbeknownst to them, another evil spirit impersonates God and convinces a teenager from youth group that he needs to end the lives of several remorseless bullies from their church.  But the catch is he’ll need to convince them of atheism first, to make sure they go to hell.  The former youth pastor, Josh Vincent, disillusioned and now agnostic, partners with a police officer to try to stop the murderer.  All of these characters’ paths intertwine in a zany odyssey that takes them to the depths of Hades and to the heights of the Heavens.
