So when a chance occurrence leads to him encountering the most heinous criminal in history, Cin Coperus, the God of Death, he refuses to die cowering in fear. He refused to grovel in front of his killer. So he defies a God. Was it luck? Was it Fate? Corin doesn't know. But somehow, his defiance went unpunished. And now he is beginning to achieve his dearest wish. He is growing stronger. I put school life in the tags, but it probably won't take up much of the story, with Corin's time in the academy being more so the reader can understand the world he lives in and how he interacts with that world. Also, a lot of focus will be put on Corin's training. There will be no secret inheritances or treasures that he finds, granting him instantaneous power ups.
