It was only natural that in the years leading up to the Fall, players with enough money and drive sort their salvation beyond Earth itself. One such group led by Lazarus had founded the Lazarus City on the Moon. It was here where the most fortunate got to escape the endless war threatening to end humanity forever. It’s here where the Fall truly is set in motion because a group known as the Maxim Front had intended to seize the lunar city for Maxim Vasechkin. However, their plan quickly falls apart as anarchy spreads across the city, while the new form of Mortalis sinks its teeth into anyone it can get its hands on. It’s the distress signal broadcast by the city that draws in the unsuspecting Kaskari on board the Dauntless. They had heard stories of the Primortans but never did they expect to encounter this vile horror so far removed from their home. Knowing all too well what it could do if left to fester.
