Synopsis
This short story is written from the old mans perspective in Poe's 'The Tell-Tale Heart'
In his old age, Jacob, finds himself a new and mysterious roommate, Mr. Salem Wolf. Jacob's desire to be altruistic puts him in a terrifying position in which he is instinctually aware that he is in danger, but is unable to do what is necessary to act on his intuition until it is too late. Salem accepts his dark tendencies after something akin to a possession happens during a sermon. Jacob falls into fits of fever dreams in which he is symbolically presented with the danger at hand in the form of visions.
