This story follows the travels of godlike posthuman S4 as he travels throughout the vast, empty universe. In 2080, we hit the technological singularity, and Earth is made into a utopia. Death, disease, and famine are eliminated. People aren't content to sit around, though. Some humans opt to ascend past normal life and have their consciousness placed into "orbitals", machines the size of small moons with practically any capability you can think of. The protagonist, S4, is just one of these posthumans. Tag along as he explores planets like Ross-128b and other far reaches of unknown galaxies. This takes place in the Primis Mundus of The Thaumaturge, but as of now that story will likely have no bearing on this one.
