Chapter 6 The Three Great Clans

Chapter 6 The Three Great Clans

The Cradle is an untamed forest of evergreens, a world that defies description. As Rico gazes upon it, he can't help but feel a sense of awe and wonder. The sky is more vivid, the air fresher, and the forest teems with life. But as he delves deeper into the records of the Cradle, he begins to uncover a dark and mysterious past.

For centuries, the Cradle has been a place of death and rebirth, where insects and plants have perished and proliferated in a never-ending cycle. The source of this cycle is the soul energy that courses through the land, nourishing and sustaining the creatures that call it home. But as Rico delves deeper, he discovers that the soul energy is not as bountiful as it once was, and the creatures of the Cradle are beginning to weaken.

The insects of the Cradle are a prime example. They once lived for 50 years, but now their lifespans are shorter, and their progeny are weaker. The mosquitoes, ants, and earthworms of the Cradle are aware of their enemies and hunt each other relentlessly, locked in an eternal cycle of death and rebirth. Rico dubs them the Three Great Clans of Insects.

But as Rico watches the Three Great Clans, he begins to realize that their existence is futile. They are simply insects, with no value or purpose beyond their role in the cycle of death and rebirth. And so he hatches a plan to incite conflict amongst them, to spur their evolution and the growth of his understanding of the disk world.

With a sense of excitement and anticipation, Rico purchases a range of meats, including chicken, beef, hog, and lamb. He carefully prepares the meat, making sure to cut it into sizable chunks that can be easily accessed by the creatures that inhabit the Cradle. The aroma of the fresh meat is strong, and he can almost taste it himself.

When he arrives at the Cradle, he heads towards the area that separates the Three Great Clans. This area is where the most significant number of creatures live, and they tend to be the most aggressive and territorial. Rico places a large pile of 100 kilograms of beef in the center of the area, and the scent of fresh meat immediately begins to spread throughout the space.

It doesn't take long for the Three Great Clans to catch wind of the scent and begin to make their way towards the pile of meat. Rico watches with fascination as they come into view, their eyes fixed on the prize. The tension is palpable as they approach, each one determined to claim the meat for themselves.

As they converge on the pile of beef, a frenzy of fighting breaks out between the Three Great Clans. The ants and mosquitoes are cautious, keeping their distance, but the earthworms are ruthless, drilling out of the ground and attacking first. The earthworms' swift and decisive action catches the other creatures off guard, and soon the fighting intensifies, with the Three Great Clans battling fiercely for the meat.

Rico watches with a mixture of awe and trepidation as the creatures fight over the meat. It's a brutal and primal scene, but he knows that this is how the creatures in the Cradle survive and thrive. The competition for resources is fierce, and only the strongest and most adaptable will survive. He is grateful to be able to witness this display of nature's raw power, and he feels more connected to the Cradle and its inhabitants than ever before.

As the Three Great Clans fight, Rico watches with a sense of detachment, knowing that their destruction is necessary for the growth and evolution of the Cradle. He is the master of this world, and he will do whatever it takes to understand it and control its destiny.

The ants and mosquitoes, however, were not about to let the earthworms claim the beef without a fight. The ants quickly formed a defensive line, mandibles bared and ready to defend their share of the feast. The mosquitoes, on the other hand, took to the air and began to launch quick, precise strikes against the earthworms, their needle-like proboscises aimed at the earthworms' vulnerable spots.

As the battle for the beef raged on, Rico watched with a sense of satisfaction. He had successfully incited conflict amongst the Three Great Clans of Insects, just as he had planned. The insects fought fiercely, each one determined to claim the meat for themselves.

But as the fight continued, Rico began to notice something strange. The source energy in the Cradle was beginning to fluctuate, growing stronger and more intense as the insects fought. Rico realized that this was the key to unlocking the secrets of the Cradle - the more the insects fought and died, the more source energy would be produced.

With this realization, Rico knew that he had to keep the insects fighting, no matter the cost. He began to devise new strategies to incite conflict, using different types of bait and even introducing new insect species to the Cradle.

As the years passed, Rico's understanding of the Cradle grew, and he became known as the Feast of death to the insects. But with great power came great responsibility, and Rico knew that he had to be careful not to push the insects too far. For if the insects were to perish, so too would the evolution of the Cradle, and with it, Rico's chance to unlock the secret of essence.

But with each new discovery, Rico knew that he was one step closer to understanding the true nature of the Cradle and the power of Origin, it’s rule which he build the Cradle upon, and the mysteries it held within. And even though the insects were but mere bugs, Rico knew that they held the key to unlocking the secrets of evolution.
