They were the stuff of legends; fables from folklore; stories of the superstitious. Since time immemorial, tales of monsters, whispers of magic, and the promise of power spread far and wide. Anecdotes of adventure blended fact and fiction, and though people tried, no one could verify the truth. There was a simple reason for that: the brave or strong favoured mysterious lands, and the weak or cowardly returned home only to be labeled as madmen. The rest... met an unfortunate end.  Jonah, Delia and Jermey learn of this truth when besieged by beasts, voyaging across unchartered waters. Their struggle for survival brings them to alien lands where monsters reign supreme in the sky and roam the earth like monarchs.
