After dying, Erik wakes up in a different world. Magic, a fiancée, poisoning, and assassins are just a few of the things he has to deal with upon opening his eyes. Now it is a race against time to assimilate to the culture. Learning all that he can, he notices that things are not as they seem.  The circumstances around him change quickly, and he has no choice but to adapt.
