Jadon wakes up in a world unknown to him, where the locals have pointed ears. He remembers nothing of his past. Fortunately, he finds refuge with Ina and Haritz, who take him into their home. Through Ainmire, Jadon learns that other humans have been appearing. As disturbing rumors spread, the inhabitants begin to see the humans as dangerous invaders bent on destruction.
