When you’re desperate for work, anything looks like a good gig. But stealing a dragon from the royal family might prove too much for Janu and his crew of dragon thieves. Especially when they have to kidnap the princess, too. With half the empire on their tail, a cart full of disgruntled dragon and a captive princess full of attitude, they just want to hand in, get paid, and go home. Their employer has other plans – plans that will strike a much stronger blow at the empire than one simple robbery.
