Alessandra parents were killed when she was young, and she was taken in by Arnav, the King of the Southern Seas. He raised her to be a pirate. When Arnav was unable to continue his role as captain, the crew voted for Alessandra. She then became the Queen of the Southern Seas.  Before Arnav found her, she became a dragon tamer.  This is her role in this world, and she has accepted it.  After raiding the wrong ship, she captures the prince.
