Lost in a word of swords and sorcery, and gifted a machine body from a game he never played, Hugo's in for a rough time. After dying to a car crash alongside his terminally online roommate Jackson, the pair are offered a second chance at life, to be reincarnated. For Jackson this means turning into into a towering DieselKnight from his favorite RPG of the same name, and for Hugo it means being reborn into his favorite childhood book. But something goes wrong. When Hugo opens his eyes he finds himself not swaddled in the arms of a loving mother as one freshly reincarnated newborn should be, but instead hurling towards the ground trapped in the body of a pure metal giant towards a world of swords and sorcery.  How will he regain his humanity?
