Erik Wilmer didn't expect to die, but he expected that more than ending up in another world, an endless-seeming desert. He awakened in the desert with his only clue being a compass that pointed east instead of north, a destination etched into the back. What he would find when he reached the destination, he didn't know. But he did know that the desert contained more abnormalities than he thought possible and that the circumstances behind his death had more to do with the world than he liked.
