When one looks to the stars, who knows what could be looking back? The world has grown ever so slightly darker  and in the central lands of Cethera, Arathen, grandson to the elder King Nolas; seeks to find evidence of the supernatural. The old King's reign is soon to end, as the years catch up to him- and the unity of the realm is at stake. Rumors of treason have circulated the capitol city of Krosnath, sparking political intrigue amongst the common folk. Facing open mockery and ridicule, Arathen is near powerless to aid his family's hold upon the land. Far to the south east, within the cavernous mountain city of Gazmod, a young man named Rust struggles to find his place within the earthen society. Against the warnings and judgement of his family, dreams of a life outside the mountain drive him towards a much more dangerous path. Light fades from the skies above, and those who walk the lands will be threatened by more than war and shadow.   -This is my first time writing in a longer form and uploading anything, apologies in advance for any mistakes that may crop up. Also I currently plan to have around six PoV characters for the story as a whole, I'll eventually expand the synopsis to reflect that; but these are early days and that may change.
